Although there will be no Spring Flower Show in its traditional format this year, look for “Blooms!” in Boston from March 13th-15th 2009. A brand new venue will be used to bring many of the Spring Flower Show’s favorite exhibitors to downtown Boston for a three-day event.

“Blooms!” will be open to the public from Friday morning through Sunday in the lobbies abutting the Greenway at One International Place, 125 High Street, and the InterContinental Hotel. The arrangements will be stunning in these impressive and beautiful marble spaces!

Plans also include an educational lecture series highlighted by a Roger Swain presentation, former host of the Victory Garden and editor of Horticulture magazine; children’s gardening exhibits; the beloved window boxes; a Master Gardener Information Booth, orchid and bonsai exhibits; as well as a very special “Blooms!’ gala party.

Founded in 1829, the Massachusetts Horticultural Society (MHS) is a member and donor-supported organization dedicated to encouraging and improving the science and practice of horticulture and developing the public's enjoyment, appreciation, and understanding of plants and the environment.

The Massachusetts Horticultural Society produces the New England Spring Flower Show annually, with proceeds benefiting MHS projects and programs, including research initiatives, horticultural education for children and adults, development and maintenance of the MHS Horticulture Center at Elm Bank and MHS Gardens on the Greenway.
