Guided tours of Orchard House offered throughout the weekend will feature the themes of love and marriage as expressed in the diaries and letters of Alcott family members. Visitors will also have access to a laptop to vote for Louisa May Alcott's Orchard House to win $100,000 in the 2009 Partners in Preservation contest! A wonderful friends and families activity!

Directions from Interstate 95: Take exit 30B (Route 2A West).
Follow 2A past Hanscom AFB toward Concord Center. At the fork in the road where 2A continues left, proceed right, following the sign, 'Battle Road, April 19, 1775, Historic Concord.' From there, we are 1.5 miles on your right. Please park in the Wayside Lot across the street on Hawthorne Lane.
Directions from Interstate 495: Take the Route 2 East exit. Follow Route 2 toward Concord, going half-way around the Concord Rotary. Stay in the left lane and exit left at the first light, Elm Street. (You will be going parallel to Route 2.) Follow Elm Street to the end where it intersects with Main Street.
Turn left onto Main Street. Follow Main Street until it ends at the flagpole. Turn right onto Lexington Road. Keep to the left at the fork in the road. We are approximately a quarter mile from here on the left. Please park in the Wayside Lot across the street on Hawthorne Lane.
Via Public Transportation: Orchard House is a 20-minute walk from Concord's MBTA Rail (Purple Line) on Thoreau Street

- Be prepared to stay on our property for at least an hour. Guided tours are most appropriate for children 6 and older. Our award-winning Orientation Video is shown continuously through the day. Restroom and Museum Store on premises.
