Family Music Festival, an Annual Cambridge Tradition

Once again this June, NSM musicians and volunteers will fill the Lowell School Park with musical fun and activities for children of all ages.

Come join us on Saturday, June 20th from 12:00-3:00pm for outdoor games, crafts, face painting and a musical instrument 'petting zoo.' Family concerts throughout the afternoon including the nationally-celebrated Latin music ensemble Sol y Canto* at 1pm.

Sol y Canto's family show at the New School of Music will feature selections from their Parents' Choice Award-winning CD 'El Doble De Amigos/Twice As Many Friends' -A Bilingual Musical Family FIESTA Una Fiesta Musical Bilinge Featuring Rosi & Brian Amador.

Sol y Canto’s songs feature toe-tapping plena, son, calypso, reggae and more from their Parents' Choice Award-winning CD, Twice as Many Friends/El Doble de Amigos! With their irresistibly singable and danceable high-energy sound, Sol y Canto immerses children and their parents in the joys of a bilingual musical fiesta. This concert will feature Sol y Canto founders Rosi (Puerto Rico/Argentina) Amador on lead vocals and bongo/small percussion & Composer Brian Amador (New Mexico, U.S.) on Spanish guitar. www.solycanto.com
