Siagel Productions Launches New Stoughton Dance Studio

The Dance Academy of Siagel Productions will welcome the community into its new 75 Tosca Drive, Stoughton, studio on Saturday, August 8, and Sunday, August 9, from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm. The two-day Open House will introduce students, parents and area residents to The Dance Academy’s teachers, programs and spacious new dance facility.
Founder Cindy Siagel, who, with her husband, entertainer Steve Siagel, opened the first Dance Academy of Siagel productions in Newton in 1999, says the new, 1,700 sq. ft. studio will add depth to The Dance Academy’s offerings.
“We already have a fabulous program with very special teachers who are wonderful role models for kids and that’s not going to change,” Siagel explains. What is going to change, she continues, is The Dance Academy’s ability to offer more classes, more competitive teams, and extras like birthday parties in a comfortable new space. “Our program doubled in size last year and we really needed a home of our own,” Siagel said. “With our new studio, we will be able to provide a more varied experience with greater opportunities for learning and growth.”
Conveniently located less than 5 minutes from Cobb Corner, the new studio will continue The Dance Academy’s tradition of excellence in all areas with the same teachers, the classes, music, and quality. 'We’ll offer everything we did before but with more options and more space,” Siagel continues.
The Dance Academy offers classes for all ages from preschool through adulthood. More than a dozen different disciplines are represented including: Combination; Kids Bop; Creative Movement; Ballet; Lyrical; Tap; Modern; Jazz; Hip Hop; Break Dance; Boys Hip Hop/Street Dance; Baton Twirling; and Acrobatics. Special Adult classes focus on jazz, hip hop, and hip hop workouts. In addition, competitive teams in jazz, hip hop and street dance allow student to focus on specific interests. An end-of-the-year recital gives students a chance to perform onstage before an audience.
The Dance Academy’s emphasis on building strength, fitness, and self-esteem creates a framework for success on the dance floor and in all areas of life. “Our school is a place for kids to learn balance, grace, and self-expression,” Siagel explains. “With it, they leap higher in basketball, they’re faster on their toes in soccer, and they’re more confident in everything they do. We are not just a dance school. We are a place where kids learn to express themselves and balance their lives so they’re better and more confident in everything they do.”
