Feel the beat of the majestic Taiko drum as you celebrate your family, both past and present. The Obon Festival in Japan is a time when family members from all regions leave the dense cities and travel to rural homes to visit family graves, pay respect to their ancestors, and participate in the community Obon Dance.

You will learn the joyful Tokyo Ondo dance, which is made up of easy-to-learn steps performed in a circle around a taiko drummer. You will also decorate your own summer uchiwa fan and try your hand at creating different Japanese characters. Come join the celebration!
