- The Harvard Museum of Natural History provides FREE parking for the all-day Mineral Madness Family Festival, in the adjacent 1000 space underground garage at 52 Oxford Street. Usually parking has to be paid for, and reserved in advance online, but for this event, parking is free.
- You can also visit the dinosaurs and hundreds of stuffed, real animals, while you're there (while Mom visits the world-famous Glass Flowers)
- but kids would definitely prefer the 42 foot long Kronosaurus with teeth the size of bananas! The Museum is just a 6 minute walk from the Harvard Square T stop, or 3/4 mile from MBTA Porter Commuter Rail, for those who'd like to come by public transportation.
- While you're there, be sure to stop by to see the amazing Glass Flowers Exhibit. This breathtaking work will really get you in the swing for spring.

Mineral Madness Harvard Museum Of Natural History
I came last year, and my son and his friend had a great time.
Definitely have kids bring in minerals, interesting rocks, they've found to learn about them from the Mineral Club members. The meteorites are amazing. RELATED LINKS | ↑ top |
