Cut your Hair for a Cause: An Upcoming Catching Joy Event

This event is one of a series of collaborative programs with Catching Joy, a local non-profit whose mission is to promote volunteerism in kids. Catching Joy founder Joy Surprenant will be the first in line to have her hair cut by volunteer Michelle Barsamian, a professional stylist from Lord's and Lady's salon in West Roxbury.
Donated hair must be clean, and in a ponytail of at least eight inches in length, and will be used to make wigs for cancer patients. In keeping with the theme of the afternoon, Joy will be reading the classic story 'Gift of the Magi' to donors, and will have supplies to make cards and beaded necklaces and bracelets to send along with the donated hair. Children and adults who are interested in donating hair should call The Blue Bunny at 781-493-6568 to pre-register.

Take Route 95/128 north to Dedham Route 1 (exit 15A).
Follow Route 1 for about a mile. At the 4th traffic light (by Staples), take a left onto Eastern Ave. You’ll pass a public lot immediately on the right hand side – a great place to park with easy access to all shops in the Square
Eastern dead-ends into High Street (Mocha Java on the corner.)
Take a left and you’ll be on High Street heading toward a set of lights - Dedham Community Theater is on the left. You’ll find The Blue Bunny on the right – just a hop across the street from The Dedham Community Theatre – ground floor with green awnings at 577 High Street. (Our sheep mascot will be outside ready to greet you!)
