'Opening Our Doors!' 2008, The Fenway Alliance's annual FREE festival, celebrates all things cultural in the Fenway neighborhood.

The event promises more free museum and gallery admissions, concerts, lectures, tours and activities for families and children than ever before. As in previous years, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, MassArt, Mary Baker Eddy Library and Simmons and Wheelock College galleries will all be open to the public, free of charge.

Draw ‘til you drop! Create art with Sidewalk Sam and his team on the Plaza! Bring your

11:30 AM SOCIEDAD LATINA: SONIC LIFE & UNIQUE RHYTHM
Listen & live! Listen to Hip/hop, Reggae and Jazz music by Sonic Life, and join Unique
Rhythm, a dance troupe of Youth Leaders aged 14-18 who choreograph and perform from a variety of ethnic influences. Christian Science Plaza-Main Stage, at the intersection ofHuntington Ave/ Avenue of the Art & Mass Ave/Avenue of Music, 11:30 am to 12:15pm

SEASIDE CLOWNS
Be a clown! The Seaside Clowns of The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, bring the
spirit of the Big Top to Wheelock Family Theatre. The Seaside Clowns will amaze you with
their circus skills, tickle your funny bone with buffoonery, and maybe even ask you to join in
the fun with audience participation routines! Wheelock Family Theatre – Wheelock College,

BERKLEE@THE MFA: CHRISTIANE KARAM & THE ZilZALA ENSEMBLE
Artist Christiane Karam and the Zilzala Middle Eastern Ensemble perform a mix of
contemporary jazz rooted in classical Arabic music. This performance is presented in
partnership with Berklee College of Music. Remis Auditorium, Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.

classic, performed by a cast reflective of the diversity of Boston’s youth, fusing ballet, swing, hip hop, flamenco and urban tap with Tchaikovsky’s classic score and the pulsating beat of Ellington. MASSACHUSETTS HISTORICAL SOCIETY
Get political! See the timely “As Massachusetts Goes” Exhibit. View two centuries of
Bay State presidential politics in a special exhibition of documents and artifacts
illustrating the Commonwealth’s record of a particular kind of political independence.

ESTEBAN PASTORINO DIAZ SPANISH-LANGUAGE TOUR
Local artist and Colombia native Norma López leads a Spanish language tour of the Shifting
Perspectives: Esteban Pastorino Díaz exhibition. School of the Museum of Fine Arts,

Go on a crusade! Joan of Arc was just teenager when she led an army, enthroned a
monarch, and got sentenced to death. You can tour the scene shop and onstage building of
WFT’s Saint Joan, and attend a drama workshop with WFT Acting teacher, Beth Peters.
