Parents will have a chance to talk to a Child Passenger Safety Technician about your car seat or booster and new changes in car seat regulations, and Holliston Fire will also be giving away free bike helmets while supplies last.
The public is also invited to win an iPad in our “Power Snack” contest. Entries are free, and will be judged on taste, nutritional value, and how “powerful” it is as a healthy snack option. The winner will be awarded a free iPad tablet computer, and two runners-up will win prizes of $100 giftcards to CVS and Fiske’s General Store. Simply bring your recipe (with ingredients and nutritional value listed) and a snack sample for judging. Whole Foods of Bellingham will also be providing free, healthy snacks for event guests!
This day is in celebration of the nation’s 23,000 volunteer firefighters as part of Duracell’s “Power Those Who Protect Us” campaign. You can do their part by purchasing specially-marked packs of CopperTop batteries and then registering your purchase online at www.duracell.com to localize Duracell’s donation to further support Holliston Fire.
