This free, day-long family-friendly event will celebrate the theatrical movie release of JUDY MOODY AND THE NOT BUMMER SUMMER, based on characters from the best-selling Judy Moody and Stink children’s books illustrated by Peter H. Reynolds, written by Megan McDonald, published by Candlewick Press.
'Judy Moody Day' is being hosted by Dedham’s acclaimed film-book-theater trio, which includes the Dedham Community Theatre, Blue Bunny Books, and the Fiddlehead Theatre Company, all of which are located in the Square. The festivities include a special advance screening of the JUDY MOODY AND THE NOT BUMMER SUMMER, courtesy of Relativity Media; a book signing with illustrator Peter H. Reynolds at the Blue Bunny; two reader’s theater performances produced by Fiddlehead Theatre Company starring local kids who won recent auditions for the show, as well as totally RARE giveaways and activities; and a costume parade through Dedham Square.
