As American Idol approaches the climax to its 5th season, many talented New Englanders will be wishing it was them performing in front of a national audience.

Boston Beer Works is giving the public an opportunity to make dreams come true by hosting a preliminary audition on April 4, 2006. Contestants will audition before a panel of judges and compete to win the Grand Prize of singing The National Anthem before a nationally televised audience at historic Fenway Park before The Boston Red Sox vs. Philadelphia Phillies game on Saturday, June 24th, 2006.

Entering its 4th year, NEXT New England, will hold preliminary competitions at various venues around New England culminating with the Finals at Boston Beer Works. Contestants will be judged based on vocal abilities, appearance, artistic expression, and may sing any song of their choice to best display their talents.
