Bring family and friends to the Zoo every Saturday in March for fantastic cultural activities and experiences including folklore and legends, Irish step dancing, Gaelic football, and scavenger hunts.
March 3
11:00 AM – 11:30 AM: Children’s Irish folktales with Big Joe the Storyteller in the Animal Discovery Center.
March 10
11:00 AM & 12:00 PM: Step dance performance by O’Shea-Chaplin School of Irish Dance.
March 17 (St. Patrick’s Day)
Learn about snakes and how they relate to the legend of St. Patrick with Stone Zoo’s educators.
March 24
11:00 AM – 1:00 PM: Gaelic football and hurling workshop hosted by the Northeast Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). GAA members will discuss the historical background of the sports and their evolution in Boston and families will get the chance to play with equipment and have fun!
March 31
12:00 PM & 1:00 PM: Step dance performance by the Woods School of Irish Dance.
