Girl's Day, Hina-matsuri, is celebrated in March every year in Japan. It is the time to wish for girls' health and happiness. In the Japanese House exhibit, the Museum has set up a special set of Hina-dolls for this occasion.

These beautiful dolls, a gift from Kyoto, Boston's sister city, will be displayed in the house for the next few weeks. By the way... Not to worry, boys. There is Boy's Day, too, in May.
