As both L.L.Bean and Fenway each celebrate their 100th anniversaries, residents and fans will have the opportunity to take photos with the 13-foot-high, larger-than-life version of L.L.Bean’s most iconic product – marking the first stop of the company’s 2012 Bootmobile Tour.
The L.L.Bean Bootmobile was created to help inspire people to spend more time outdoors during the company’s 100th Anniversary year. In 2012, L.L.Bean is on a year-long mission to re-ignite America’s love of the outdoors. The company’s founder Leon Leonwood Bean was a lifelong baseball fan who believed that spending time outdoors was fundamental to happiness in life. It is this belief that still continues to drive the company in all that it does, 100 years later. L.L.Bean’s anniversary programs are designed to preserve the outdoors for the next generation and create exciting new outdoor experiences for everyone.
