Over 500 British motorcars will find their way, north, south, east, and west to participate in a celebration of all things British to include a Fun Rally, a Friday evening British Lenox Main Street Party with a live band.
Saturday will field up to 60 classes of British motorcars in the British Classic (Peoples’ Choice Competition) to include Rolls-Royce/Bentley, Jaguar, Aston Martin, MG, Triumph, Austin Healey, Morgan, Lotus, and more. Saturday features a British Concours d’Elegance (Judged Competition), a Car Corral of British Motorcars available for purchase and a collection of New British Motorcars.
Add to this a British Marketplace offering motoring books, NOS British spares, motoring accessories, restoration services, ladies jewelry, and local craft vendors. There will be displays from the Larz Anderson and Springfield Museums including a working Duryea, (the first gasoline powered vehicle made in the USA).
To this we add British music and a food pavilion complete with British Ale. On Sunday we will feature the Competition of Colors, where we vote for our favorite British Classics based upon the colors of the British flag. We will feature a Tailgate Picnic Competition with seven categories including, Most Humorous, Best Tasting, Most British, Best Costume, and Most Shakespearean.
Sunday will feature a driving review of the first place winner in the British Classic from Saturday where the owners have an opportunity to interface with our MC and the audience as they tell us about their British Classic.
Gates open to the public at 9:00 AM on Saturday and Sunday. General Admission is $15/person for a two-day pass or $10 for Sunday only. A jolly good time will be had by all. For details visit www.berkshiremotorcarfestival.com.
