Old Sturbridge Village’s official kick-off to summer, including games of early New England Base Ball, and 19th-century diversions for the whole family. Players from the town of Sturbridge Little League demonstrate how the game is different, and there are also games for all to join.

Other 19th-century diversions include hoop trundling, battledore and shuttlecock, graces, nine-pin bowling. A Village-wide match of French & English (tug of war) rounds out the offerings.

Also, sheep shearing, plowing with oxen, baby farm animals to meet, and historical gardens in late spring splendor.
