offering a look at early 19th-century life from an environmental
perspective. Guided tours of all the new walkways - woodland and
riverbank included - plus other special programs.
Scheduled Activities
1. Bill Cormier of Wild Bird Crossing in Sturbridge will lead a Morning Bird Walk, from 8 - 9:30 a.m. (Fee is $10 per person; $7 for OSV Members. Limited to 15 participants and pre-registration is required; call 508-347-0323. Also see separate listing for the Morning Bird Walk.)
2. Guided tours on each of the trails.
3. Demonstrations of Spring farm work.
4. Guest presenter Robert Thorson, Professor of Geology at the University of Connecticut, will lead a walk and present a program on the History in New England's Stone Walls.
5. A Walk with the Indian Doctress and a guided Quinebaug River walk with Native American consultant Marge Bruchac.
6. A family hands-on activity.
