Children’s Day is celebrated on May 5 in Japan, and koinobori, or rising carp kites, are flown all month. Children are invited to make their own kites and listen to a kamishibai, a form of storytelling that began in early twentieth-century Japan and continues today. All programs are included with museum admission.

1:00pm - 1:30pm Ages 4 and up

Kamishibai Storytelling: The Old Man and the Fox
2:00pm - 2:30pm Ages 5 and up.

Admission:
Adults $13, Seniors $11, Students $9
*Youth (16 and under) and Salem, Mass. residents admitted free.
