On Saturday, June 17th, (Father’s Day weekend), 10:00am- 5:00pm, South Shore residents will have the opportunity to meet representatives from the Chelsea Clock Company and learn how the clocks, known as “the Timekeepers of the Sea” are made at King Jewelers in Cohasset, MA.

Joshua James and other mariners relied upon them. In fact, they have been standard issue in all Navy and Coast Guard vessels since 1897. This event will feature an extensive display of Chelsea clocks from private collections and local museums, and a large collection available for purchase, including the “By the Sea” collection, designed and made exclusively for King Jewelers.

Clocks purchased at the event can be signed by Chelsea Master clockmaker Bhupat Patel. A portion of the proceeds will be given to local maritime museums, including the Hull Lifesaving Museum. Additionally, King Jewelers will have a free raffle of some very popular items, including a Chelsea clock from the “By the Sea” collection, a Coromandel art treasure box with a hand-painted image of Minot’s Light created exclusively for King Jewelers, and a sailor’s valentine pendant. Refreshments will be served.
