The children's summer program at the Nahant Public Library kicks off with Steve Rudolph's 'Salute to Reading' Magic Show. Steve combines comedy, surprises and audience participation with exciting magic. His show is inspired by actual children's books. Rudolph is a former school teacher with experience in professional theater and his program is recommended for ages 4 and up.

Other summer programs include Mad Science of Greater Boston interactive workshops 'Che-Mystery,' 'Optical Illusions' and 'Stunt Planes & Gliders' (4-10, 4-12 and 4-13, 10:30AM.); 'Insects Inside and Out' by John Root (4-26, 3PM); and the Summer Reading Program by Davis Bates and Roger Tincknell (8-16, 11AM.).

The library is grateful to the Friends of the Library for the financial support of the programs. All library programs are free for the public.
