The Vilna Shul welcomes you to a unique and creative spring Shabbat celebration on Friday, May 10th.

As the flowers begin to bloom all over the city, join us in our historic sanctuary for an evening of song, prayer, dancing in the aisles, and inspired vegetarian kosher cuisine, all led by young leaders of the Boston Jewish community.

Services will be facilitated by Maxwell Levis, a doctoral psychology student with roots in Vermont, Boston, and Israel together with Hellen Bennet, Laura Bellows, Josh Krug and friends.

The event will start at 7:00pm with food to follow and festivities continuing until late in the evening.

Our Shabbat feast will be graciously catered by Earth Sky Time Community Organic Farm of Manchester, Vermont.

The Vilna Shul's innovative Shabbat services are made possible by the generous support of our community donors.

How to get to here:

The Vilna Shul is easily accessible by public transportation. We are just a 4 minute walk from the MBTA Redline Charles/MGH stop and a 8 minute walk from the Green Line Government Center Stop. We highly encourage using public transportation when visiting the Shul.

Public Transit:

After exiting the Charles/MGH MBTA Red Line station, turn left, cross Cambridge Street (toward the CVS), turn left, and walk east down Cambridge Street under the elevated subway. Proceed east on Cambridge Street past Lindall Place, an alley, and Grove Street to Anderson Street. Turn right on Anderson Street and walk one block up Anderson Street to Phillips Street. Turn left/east onto Phillips Street. The Vilna Shul is 1/2 block down Phillips Street on the right/uphill side of Phillips Street.

Parking:

The Vilna Shul offers $5 validated parking after 4pm on weekdays and on Sundays. Validation is good inside the Charles River Plaza Parking Garage across the street from the Shul and next to the Au Bon Pain and Holiday Inn, not in the surface lot in front of the Whole Foods. Just look for the garage entrance near the intersection of Cambridge St. and Blossom St.

You must validate your green ticket at the Shul for free/reduced parking.
