planetsolar boat visits boston photoCome see the world's largest solar-powered boat when she docks at Boston's Fan Pier, June 22 - June 26.

Hosted by technology and innovation leader swissnexBoston and sponsored by the University of Geneva and Presence Switzerland, the PlanetSolar boat is making her first-ever stop in Boston.

As she travels up the Gulf Stream, PlanetSolar and the University of Geneva will be conducting an unprecedented DeepWater Expedition for climate change research.

The 113-foot PlanetSolar boat features more than 5,000 square feet of photovoltaic cells and a maximum speed of 14 knots.
