See demonstrations of antique hand-pump fire trucks, and watch the fire truck parade around the Common.
And to cool off, costumed historians will be making ice cream the old-fashioned way, including vintage flavors such as gooseberry, parmesan, and asparagus (yes, asparagus!).
The fifth annual chili contest will give visitors a chance to sample the fare from local restaurants including The Publick House, Sturbridge Host Hotel and Conference Center, Zorba’s Pizzeria and Tavern, Southbridge Hotel and Conference Center, and OSV’s own Oliver Wight Tavern and Bullard Tavern.
