The Trustees of Reservations invites couples planning their weddings, event planners, and members from the surrounding community to attend the First Annual Wedding Showcase at The Bradley Estate located in Canton, MA.

Showcase features visual examples of wedding formats and opportunities to talk with event vendors of all kinds.

The event is free and open to the public as well as trade professionals.

Others planning special events are also encouraged to attend and consider the Bradley Estate for their special occasion.

Event attendees will:
• Taste flavorful samples from five hand-selected Boston area caterers who will be on hand to share their professional expertise and offer options for delicious farm-to-fork wedding meals;
• Learn about green wedding options including ways to conserve resources from florists who use biodegradable materials and locally grown flowers;
• Visit with design companies offering invitations printed on recycled paper;
• Meet with the Private Event consultant team from the Bradley Estate to learn how to create the ideal wedding day from the garden ceremony to tented receptions; and,
• Experience The Bradley Estate, deemed a “hidden gem” by WCVB-TV’s Chronicle program and managed by the Trustees of Reservations.

It is one of the most beautiful wedding venues available under a 30 minute drive from Boston.

Located in a country setting on 90 bucolic acres just a few yards off 128 in suburban Canton, the stately, turn of the century Georgian brick home, designed by noted architect Charles Platt, is isolated from the noise of the nearby highway.

Featuring a grand entrance, spacious rooms and elegant wood paneling, the home is surrounded by gorgeous landscaped gardens, manicured lawns, rolling farm fields, woodland trails and a scenic pond.

About The Trustees & The Eleanor Cabot Bradley Estate
The stately country estate is owned and managed by The Trustees of Reservations, the nation’s oldest statewide land trust and one of Massachusetts’ largest conservation organizations with 111 beautiful reservations located around the state, over 35 of which are near Boston and the South Shore.

Once a colonial farmstead known as Cherry Hill Farm, the Bradley Estate was transformed in 1902 into a classic country estate.

Dr. Arthur Tracey Cabot hired architect Charles Platt, Platt noted for his expertise in designing impressive country homes in natural surroundings, to design a great house, landscaped grounds, and a complex of farm and estate buildings.

Platt adorned the lovely natural setting with manicured lawns, a walled garden, and a brick-edged parterre garden.

In 1945, Cabot’s niece, Eleanor Cabot Bradley, acquired Cherry Hill Farm and lived there with her husband until its bequest to The Trustees of Reservations in 1991.

Mrs. Bradley made some notable additions to the property, including a greenhouse and a studio.

Today, the Bradley Estate is open to the public and the house and grounds host special occasions for both private and corporate clients.

Private events help to support The Trustees in their mission to preserve and protect important scenic, cultural and natural landscapes and landmarks for everyone, forever.
