Here's a great way for parents to get outside with their kids and make a difference for a really good cause! A Stroll-a-thon for Darfur will be held in Brookline, MA on Sunday November 5th and will benefit mothers and children who have been displaced due to the ongoing civil war in Darfur.

You are invited to take part in a fun and powerful Stroll-a-thon for Darfur with other incredible moms and their children (and family and friends) as we empower ourselves, our children and our community to raise awareness and money for Darfur, a region in Sudan, Africa where genocide is taking place right now.

Darfur has been called the worst humanitarian crisis of the 21st century.

Date & TIme
Sunday, November 5, 2006
9:30am – 11:30am (rain or shine!).

Registration will take place between 8:30-9:30 am, with the official kick-off for the stroll-a-thon at 9:30 am.

Location
Start/end at corner of Stedman and Harvard Streets in Brookline.

Participation Fee
Minimum donation to participate is $25 for each stroller team plus a suggested $20 for each additional person and
participants are encouraged to collect additional donations. All money raised will help Mothers and Children of Darfur thru My Sister’s Keeper. My Sister's Keeper is a women-led, women-focused, humanitarian action group that works to reintegrate war-torn communities in Southern Sudan.

Donations are fully tax deductible (My Sister’s Keeper’s fiscal agent is certified as a 501(c)3 organization). Please make all checks payable to My Sister’s Keeper, and bring the attached donation form for donors to receive a tax reimbursement notice in the mail.
