Linda Sue Park, a noted children’s author, will present a family program at the Central Square Branch Library on Tuesday, November 7 at 6:30 p.m. Linda Sue Park won the Newbery Medal for her fascinating and suspenseful novel, A Single Shard.
She has also written other acclaimed novels for middle school and young adult readers, including, The Kite Fighters, Project Mulberry, When My Name Was Keoko, Seesaw Girl and Archer’s Quest. Ms. Park grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, the daughter of parents who were born and raised in Korea before immigrating to the United States. Her novels for young people capture elements of Korean history and heritage.
This program is free and the public (age 7 and older) is invited to attend. Books will be available for purchase from Porter Square Books. The Central Square Branch Library is located at 45 Pearl Street, Cambridge. Pizza will be served. Please call 617-349-4409 to register or to get more information.
