With hand drum, rattles, and flute, they perform songs and stories of greeting and giving thanks. The program concludes with a simple participatory social “Friendship Dance,” reminding us to remember the circle of seasons and give thanks for all our relatives.
Bruchac is from a family of storytellers, and her words bring to life ancient voices. She is accompanied by Kennick’s harmonies, rhythms, and whistle tunes and together their songs and stories intrigue, teach, and entertain listeners of all ages.
