Special programs will take place each day during the week at the Children’s Discovery Museum.

Tuesday starts with Penguins at 10:00 am. Did you know penguin dads do all the work to hatch the eggs? Find out more fun facts and play an exciting penguin egg hatching game.

Wednesday December 27
Come on Wednesday, December 27 at 10:00 am for Curious George. “What wonderful paints and brushes they had! George could not resist.” What is your little monkey curious about? Paint a monkey mask and make a Curious George paper doll!

Thursday, December 28
A visit from Finz, mascot of the Worcester Sharks AHL hockey team is the highlight on Thursday, December 28 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Visitors will also have a chance to fill in the blue lines of your own knock hockey table toy to take home.

The Science Discovery Museum will also offer a special program Twigs, Bark, and Buds on Thursday, December 28 at 12:00 noon. We will take a winter walk through the conifers and deciduous trees and learn how they are adapted to cold climates. Middle school teacher Frank Meehan will also show you how trees can be identified by their twigs, bark, and buds. Snow, rain or shine; dress appropriately. Note: the outdoor portion of the program is not handicap accessible.

Friday, December 29
The week finishes with Dinosaur Discoveries on Friday, December 29 at 10:00 am. What color were dinosaurs? How do we know? Come and pretend to be a paleontologist as we explore the color of dinosaurs.
