In partnership with New Hampshire Public Television, The Children¹s Museum of Portsmouth will be 'going to the dogs' on Saturday, January 13 with a visit from kids' favorite over-sized canine, Clifford the Big Red Dog. Families are invited to visit the museum and meet Clifford between 10 a.m. and 12 noon as part of the Books Alive! children's literacy program.

Museum staff will read the story Clifford the Big Red Dog by Norman Bridwell aloud for visitors at 10:30 and 11:30 a.m., then the big friendly dog will come out to greet children and pose for photos. Visitors of all ages are also invited to participate in Clifford-inspired activities in the museum¹s Project Area, including creating floppy Clifford ears, doing dog bone math, and exploring the concepts of size and scale. There will also be coloring and activity sheets for children to take home.

Clifford's visit is included in the museum¹s regular price of admission ($6 for adults & children, $5 for seniors, free for museum members and children under age 1).
