Figure Skating Exhibition benefiting The Salvation Army's 'Our Place' Center for Homeless Children. Features figure skaters of all ages and skating levels from The Skating Club of Boston.

Skatefest is an annual event directed by figure skating coach and former national and international competitor Amanda Farkas.

The exhibition features current members of The Skating Club of Boston who are international, national, and regional medalists and competitors and 'stars of the future.' An excellent family centric event that has been supporting the Our Place Center for nearly 20 years.

Free; good will donations accepted before and after exhibition by any uniformed Salvation Army member.

Memorial Drive, Cambridge to Mass Ave to Vassar Street. MIT's Johnson Sports Complex (across quad from Kresge Theater). Johnson Rink on first floor.

  • Best to arrive about 15 minutes before show time for best seating in the rink's bleacher stands. Bring a blanket and wear gloves and warm socks - this is an ice arena, even though indoors!! Directions: www.mitathletics.com/information/directions/directions
