Do you ever wonder how animals keep warm during the cold months of winter? Come to The Discovery Museums on Friday, January 5, 2007 at 3:30 pm for a special program, Keeping Warm: Feathers, Fur, Fat or Fleece. You will have the opportunity to test the insulating properties of feathers, fur and fat and see how leaves and dirt provide insulation for nests and burrows.

Participants can also experiment with different fabrics to discover how jackets and gloves keep you warm. This program is sponsored by The Rugged Bear.
