Kicking off a summer long special exhibition The Shot Heard Round the World: April 19, 1775 the Concord Museum's lawn will be transformed into a Revolutionary War encampment, with skilled re-enactors from David Brown’s Company setting up camp overnight and interacting with visitors about the Minutemen’s experience on April 19, 1775.
This historically accurate encampment will honor the events of April 19, 1775 by recreating one of the companies of soldiers who were at the North Bridge that day.
They will march to the North Bridge for a dawn salute on April 19, 2014 planned in collaboration with Minuteman National Historical Park (MNHP).
Stop by early evening on Friday, April 18 as the soldiers assemble and begin to set up camp.
Chat with soldiers, watch musket demonstrations, learn about their rations and more.
The Company will camp out overnight at the Museum and march to the Old North Bridge but come back anytime between 1 and 5 pm on Saturday for more activities.
