Part of the Free Fun Fridays program, The Old Manse in Concord – a National Historic Landmark built just before the Revolutionary War by Ralph Waldo Emerson’s grandfather yards from where the first shots of the Revolutionary War were fired – is opening its doors for the whole day at no cost for all to enjoy!
The celebratory event will include:
Colonial music and dance demonstrations
Scavenger hunt and craft demonstrations
Living history and a recreation of the 18th century kitchen yard
Guided attic and landscape tours
Admission to the historic Old Manse House, including a self-guided and kid friendly tour
Tours of the adjacent Caesar Robbins House offered in partnership with the Drinking Gourd Project
Food and drink available for purchase
This event is FREE and open to the public.
It is part of Highland Street Foundation Free Fun Fridays initiative – a statewide summer program that opens doors to visitors for FREE to 66 treasured cultural venues in Massachusetts.
