The Museum of Fine Arts hosts a wide range of activities and live performances inspired by the Italian Renaissance as part of its Cogan Family Foundation Vacation Week Adventures.

MONDAY- FRIDAY
Artmaking:
Make your own portrait head in clay, design a mosaic, or create a golden altarpiece.

Live performance:
The Underground Railway Theatre leads a “Grand Tour of Italy” (10:30 am, 11:30 am, 12:30 am) and members of the Ken Pierce Baroque Dance Company, Renaissonics, and Seven Times Salt bring Renaissance dance and music to the grand Koch Gallery (12 noon and 1:30 pm.)

Story Hour:
Tales of Italy for younger children, read by Laura Ziman (11:15 am, 1:15 pm)

Ice Sculptures: Chisels and Chainsaws
On Monday 2/19, students at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts turn blocks of ice into amazing sculptures. See them before they melt!
