The Lawn Party harkens back to the Jazz Age, the era in which the mansion at Castle Hill was built.
The event will feature ‘20s & ‘30s jazz, swing dancing lessons, Charleston performances, antique autos, and a vintage fair.
The festivities will start with a group dance lesson beginning at 3 p.m. Brooklyn-based Baby Soda Jazz Band with Tamar Korn and special guest Gordon Webster will take the stage at 4 p.m. and play throughout the evening.
Additional highlights include a lindy hop performance by the Lindy Bomb Squad, antique automobile rides, and the “Dandy Dash” foot race.
Attendees are encouraged to come in twenties-style dress and bring a picnic supper or pre-order one through the event website.
Seafood, ice cream, sweets, beer, wine, and iced beverages will be available throughout the afternoon.
