Campers will be empowered to become leaders in conservation through teambuilding and leadership activities, engagement in inquiry activities, games, encounters with wild animal ambassadors, visits to animal exhibits, outdoor exploration, and more.
Each Conservation Heroes camper will receive a ZooCamp t-shirt, a chance to feed the goats in the Alex and Ani Farmyard, and a ZooCamp Access Pass.
Camp runs 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday and suitable for ages 11-13.
2017 Themes:
ODD WEEKS: The Cultural Climate (Change)
During this week we will examine the connection between conservation and pop culture while exploring new ways to get the message out - in 144 words or less.
EVEN WEEKS: Beyond the Panda
Why does it seem that some animals get more than their share of the conservation spotlight?
This week we will explore the ins and outs of animal conservation campaigns, and showcase the inner beauty of all animals in need.
