First, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, the Science Discovery Museum will teach visitors all about the chemistry and unique characteristics of ice. There will be plenty of ice on hand for young scientists to play with and observe. Kids can experiment with ice cubs, play an ice cub board game, and put salt, coins, and food coloring on a 300-pound block of ice!
Then, at 2:00 pm the Children’s Discovery Museum will be visited by friendly (costumed) penguin Pete. Visitors can say hello to Pete, waddle like a penguin, and test out icy ideas at the experiment station with frozen water balloons!
