The Sylvanus Thayer birthplace and Gilbert Bean Museum provide an 18th century setting for a one-day colonial encampment and faire. The 85th Regiment Saintonge portrays one of the French regiments that provided the training and equipment critical to the patriotic effort during the American revolution.
