The work by avid finger painters Little Joe and Okie, two of Franklin Park Zoo’s western lowland gorillas, is on display in the Tropical Forest Classroom throughout the summer in an exhibition titles “Okie & Little Joe: A Retrospective.” Children are invited to submit their best finger painting masterpiece, either created at home or at one of the Zoo’s free finger painting afternoons.

Winners are selected by a panel of art experts in mid-August, and receive a painting by Okie, one of the park’s western lowland gorillas, as well as a Behind-the-Scenes tour of the zoo. Call or visit franklinparkzoogorillas.org for more info.
