The Clifton Improvement Association (CIA) will hold a gala family party at Beach Bluff Park in Swampscott on or near the wall that “came tumblin’ down” during the April storm. Leading the children in song will be Dara VanRemoortel, well-loved local songwriting musician — always a hit! Also, Gail Perry Borden will teach a family yoga class right on the beach near the rift in the wall.

All are welcome. Bring instruments, artwork and ideas to help create a loosely constructed, but highly enjoyed event that will express the community’s support for the repair of the wall and for continued maintenance of this treasured ocean-side park.

Bring a picnic supper and plan to enjoy the beach, the park and other beachgoers. Parking is available free at the parking lot across the street in Marblehead. This party is a reprise of the wonderful party held at the Beach Bluff Park in June.

Many generous people in the community have stepped forward and sent contributions to rebuild the wall that was knocked down in the storm of early April, but more funds are needed for this vast project and for an endowment which will enable the CIA to maintain the new structure as well as Beach Bluff Park and the planned Sun Circle educational sculpture.
