Inspired by the complex landscapes of the historic fishing port, The Goucester New Arts Festival brings compelling, exploratory artists to make and show work in the downtown area. The variety of sites- indoor and outdoor, old and new - have helped to shape the way the public experience the work, and sometimes shape the work itself.

This year's fest will feature five artists in residence for four days, sharing ideas and integrating with the community, and culminating in performances and installations during the weekend of the 24th to 26th. There will also be fringe events from the Directors and other local artists and organizations.

GNAF is in partnership with the Society for the Encouragement of the Arts (SeARTS) and The Cape Ann YMCA. Funding is made possible through the Massachusetts Cultural Council (MCC) John and Abigail Adams Program for cultural economic development. We also thank all of our individual and business funders for their generous contributions to GNAF 07.
