The Maynard Community Farmer’s Market meets from 9 am until 1 pm each Saturday the rest of the summer until the first week of October. Conveniently located in Downtown Maynard, the market features a wide selection of locally grown fruits, vegetables and flowers, plus baked goods and other special items. In addition to those foods for the body usually found at a typical Farmer’s Market, the Maynard Market also offers food for the spirit and food for the soul. And better still, this food is free!
On Saturday, August 25, Barry Bailey, Massage Therapist and Stretching Instructor/Coach from Maynard, will return to the Maynard Community Farmer’s Market. At 10:00 am Barry will present a one hour Pain Relief Demonstration and lead a class of hands-on self-healing, similar to what he teaches each week at The STAR Tech Healing and Learning Center, 14 Nason Street in Maynard. The class is FREE and open to shoppers and visitors of the Farmer’s Market.
The self-healing techniques that Barry will present are part of a therapy system he has developed and he calls Soft Tissue Active Recovery Technique, or STAR Tech®. By incorporating Active Stretching, which he demonstrated last month at the market, he will explain how you can prompt the body to heal itself by using its own built-in healing mechanism. He will show viewers how to release muscle tightness and inflammation, and relieve pain, and then lead them through some examples of the self-healing process. Anyone who is familiar with and uses Active Stretching already knows the basics of self-healing. STAR Tech® is a cutting-edge method of self-healing and recovery. STAR Tech® is “Healing of the Future . . . Now!”
Barry will also be available before and after the STAR Tech® Demo/Class to speak with individuals and offer free individual STAR Tech® Healing suggestions for personal self-care.
Barry will return to the Maynard Community Farmer’s Market September 15th when he will repeat the Active Stretching Demo/Class that he offered in July.
The Maynard Community Farmer’s Market is located in the Clock Tower office complex parking lot on Main Street (Rt. 62) in Maynard, by the Mill Pond. Plenty of convenient Free Parking is available.
