The fourth annual Touch-a-Truck and Car Show event will be on Sunday, Sept. 23, at West Cummings Park on Washington Street in Woburn. Last fall, this overwhelmingly successful free community event attracted nearly 3,000 visitors. Exhibitors and spectators are welcome.

Touch-a-Truck is all about kids, trucks, public safety and family fun. Enthusiastic visitors climbed on and touched more than 60 commercial vehicles ranging from aerial cranes to concrete mixers and dump trucks. As in previous years, we expect state police and local police, fire and public works departments to be on hand with family-oriented safety demonstrations. Adjacent to the Touch-a-Truck area, will be a vintage car show, which in the past has drawn an eclectic gathering of classic vehicles. In addition to the cars and trucks, visitors will be able to enjoy food from local providers, giveaways for the kids, activities for young and old alike, and a live on-site broadcast from Oldies 103.3.

Touch A Truck

I attended this event with my 6 year old son. He, a huge bob the builder and handy manny fan, thought he was in heavon. All real life construction and rescue vehicles in one location, all of which was available for full access. We drove from Fall River, MA. After the event, my son, whom never seems to run out of energy, was sleeping by the time we got onto the highway to return home. Well worth the drive, we both had a blast. P.S. My son's first comment upon waking up? 'Daddy, when can we go back?'
