The event takes place at UMass Medical School each April 2nd to coincide with Autism Speaks’ signature campaign, Light It Up Blue.
Light it up Blue is an international event dedicated to raising awareness about autism.
Every year on April 2nd thousands of iconic landmarks and buildings join the hundreds of thousands of homes and communities around the world to “light blue” in support.
Here at UMass, we have celebrated this event since 2010.
What began with lighting the medical school blue has now grown into a community event where families and local service providers come together in celebration of autism awareness and acceptance.
