Join the Cape Ann Animal Aid in its celebration of dogs at Stage Fort Park in Gloucester (rain date is Sept. 30). All proceeds benefit the Cape Ann Animal Aid.

The day will begin with a Parade of Paws down Stacy Boulevard. There is a fee of $10 per dog ($5 for each additional dog in a family). Registration is from noon to 12:30 p.m.; the parade will go from 12:30 to 1 p.m., followed by the Dog Day events at Stage Fort Park.

Dog Day activities from 1-4 p.m. include a pet expo with local animal rescues, animal oriented products and businesses, and other community groups. Bring the family and your dog(s) and enjoy demonstrations, children’s activities, doggy games and contests, raffles and prizes, food and refreshments, nail-trimming clinic, micro-chipping clinic, and more.
