The day kicks off with a one (1) and three (3) mile walk around the beautiful Newton Centre neighborhood, followed by a cookout, music, accessible games, a silent auction, raffles, giveaways and much more back at our campus.
Bring family and friends (dogs, too!) - all are welcome to enjoy this fun day that celebrates how active blind and visually impaired people can be.
All of the activities offer a unique opportunity for both sighted and visually impaired people to participate and raise awareness about blindness, vision loss, and The Carroll Center for the Blind’s services.
As impactful members of the community, the Walk for INDEPENDENCE brings all who attend closer to understanding our differences.
