Our northern neighbors in Boston, Massachusetts started the first St. Patrick’s Day parade as early as 1737.
This 2022, the Ocean State's capital's parade will once again fill the streets of Providence with marchers, music, and more.
Even Roger Williams himself would wear green to this Celtic celebration.
Local businesses offer a variety of St. Patrick's themed activities, and the city hosts a 5K race immediately before the parade.

The parade route begins at Hilltop Avenue and proceeds down Smith Street, ending at the Rhode Island State House. Ample parking is available in the city's multiple garages.
