Paper Poppies
This month, Museum visitors are encouraged to make a paper poppy—a symbol of remembrance—to honor a military service member in their life and add it to our memorial garden.
This activity is available to all Museum visitors during operating hours until Sunday, May 28. The completed poppies will be featured in a Memorial Day ceremony on board USS Constitution.
If you are unable to visit the Museum and would like a poppy to be made in honor of a fallen service member, please complete this online form and Museum staff will make a poppy on their behalf.
Memorial Day Ceremony
Join USS Constitution‘s crew in honoring fallen service members in a special ceremony on board the Ship. This ceremony is open to the public and will begin at 11:00 am on Monday, May 29.
Activities throughout the day will recognize the service and sacrifice of our military community, with a Poppy Remembrance Garden available until May 28th, when the garden will be moved to USS Constitution during the official ceremony.
All military community members – Service Members, Veterans, and their Families – receive complimentary admission to the Museum during the month of May, made possible by the generous support of USAA.
