This year we will revisit those moving orations with the help of students from Boston Latin School who will dramatize the eloquent words of orators such as John Hancock, Joseph Warren and John Rock. Prof. Robert Allison, history professor at Suffolk University and author of The Boston Massacre, will narrate the event and discuss the tradition of commemoration. Presented by The Bostonian Society in partnership with the Old South Meeting House. Free; at the Old South Meeting House, 310 Washington Street, Boston, MA 02108.
This event is part of a series of events presented by The Bostonian Society/Boston Historical honoring the 238th Anniversary of the Boston Massacre — one of the triggering events of the American Revolution. On March 5, 1770, British soldiers killed 5 men on the streets of Boston in what would become known as the Boston Massacre.
