Cast your ballots throughout January and February at Franklin Park Zoo in support of your favorite animal candidate for President of the Zoo. Kiki, a female western lowland gorilla, was inaugurated as our first animal President of the Zoo in 2006. She’s now running for re-election against a host of other fascinating animal candidates who call our Zoo home.

In honor of President’s Day, we’re not only going to host the election, we’re going to celebrate with games and activities. Throughout the week, learn about each of the candidates’ platforms, and discover what makes each unique!

The winner will be announced on Saturday, February 23 and an inauguration party will be held inside the Tropical Forest.

The candidates:

Tito, Andean condor
Cleopatra, African pygmy hippo
Christopher, lion
Rana, red-eyed tree frog
Tara, Amur leopard
Kiki, western lowland gorilla
